URL for Subversion has changed

The Gallery source code repository hosted in Subversion at SourceForge has moved to a new url which should be more stable. The old URL will continue to work for some time, but if you're using Gallery from Subversion we recommend you switch to the new URL for better stability. If you don't know what Subversion is, you don't need to worry about any of this. SourceForge's documentation is here and here. Our Using Subversion documentation page has been updated with the new URL, and migration instructions are below.

Chat with your fellow Gallery users

Did you know that the Gallery community has a place for users to chat online? While our discussion forums are still the primary means of user support, the project also maintains an IRC channel on irc.freenode.net.

The IRC channel, #gallery-support, complements our forums by providing a place for the Gallery community to share ideas, ask questions, and support each other in real-time. The team invites all Gallery users to log on and support the project by asking questions, making suggestions, and sharing expertise.

Gallery 1.5.5-pl1 Released

Gallery 1.5.5-pl1 is now available for download. This is primarily a bug fix release, fixing a handful of bugs reported by users and some discovered by our testing team. Even though this release contains no security fixes, we recommend that all users of Gallery 1.5.4 and earlier upgrade to this release to be as bug free as possible. You can download 1.5.5-pl1 from the Gallery 1 download page on SourceForge. Upgrade instructions are available on our documentation site.

Gallery 1.6 Alpha 2 Released

The Gallery team is proud to announce the second alpha release of Gallery 1.6! This version is only for testing purposes and is not meant for production sites. It comes with some great new features, but contains incompatible changes with older versions of Gallery 1, may contain bugs and has not yet passed our security audit. We make no guarantees of security or stability! This release introduces large changes to CSS and layout, so don't forget to make a backup before upgrading! We encourage you to try it out and report any problems you have because the more people who give us feedback, the better the final product will be. You can get Gallery 1.6 Alpha 2 from the download page on SourceForge.
