Gallery Remote 1.2 Released!

In the wake of Gallery 1.4.1, here is a new version of Gallery Remote. It adds a bunch of new and often-requested features, some of which are only available when using it to connect to an updated Gallery:

- drag-and-drop and sorting of pictures has been dramatically improved and debugged. Moving pictures between albums (before uploading) is now easy.
- uploading pictures is now a more predictable affair, thanks to the new upload progress bar, and GR can now shut down the machine once upload is done (on Windows only).
- GR can now detect picture orientation if EXIF information is available, and rotates the pictures appropriately.
- more details in the ChangeLog...You can download Gallery Remote 1.2 from the Gallery Remote download page.

Too buggy!
Under Mac OS X--
-No thumbnails in the left pane, or in the properties pane (the one where you can rotate, rename, etc.)
-No preview in the preview window
-Menu bar does not appear in the menu bar, as it should in any OS X app. It resides in it's own menu bar.
-"Preferences" option is greyed out-not available
-"About Gallery Remote" is also greyed out
The lack of thumbnails and previews, and inability to set preferences (such as resizing options) is enough to make me ditch this. I had great luck with 1.1 RC3-b3, although it was a bit slow. So, how do I get 1.1 back?

Hope that helps!

I was really looking forward to this thi release, and alas it is totally unusable on Mac OS X.

I even tried downloading the latest 1.3 beta, but that wouldn't even launch.

Is a 1.2.1 that fixes the problems coming soon?
The Mac version appears to be unusable, due to our Mac guy being in the hospital with broken ribs. The community is helping to diagnose and fix the problems on Mac, and a fix should be available shortly.

In the meantime, I've re-enabled the 1.1 release on SourceForge.

Thanks for your patience.

Yes, thank you! Hope your Mac guys gets better soon! Give him our best wishes!
