OK, I am a mac user and I have been a member poking around in my spare time to get my images hosted with Gallery. How do I do this?
I have downloaded port authority and darwin ports. Don't know how to work this. Is Gallery a software attached to my site that will put images on my site, or does it send the user to another location hosted by gallery? Can people use this as e-commerce and purchase a photo from me?
How exactly do I get this software to work with my site?
I use Readyhosting.com, my site is built in Adobe Go Live and I up load the site myself once I am done creating it via fetch. Any help would certainly make my brain stop twitching.

Hello Tracy,
you have to download Gallery from our download site, unpack it and upload it to your webspace.
So Gallery is NOT a Software for your home PC. Its an application running on a webserver.
Then you have to configure it. If you are not that technical advanced, i am sure you have someone how can help you with the settings.
Also a lot hosters offer help. Some even install the complete Gallery for you.
After its installed you can create albums and upload photos, movie or a lot other types of files into it.
You have a lot of opportunities of settings, e.g. what viewers can see or do.
Gallery itself is a web photoalbum, but with some modifications you can use it for e-commerce, yes.
For installation help, have a look at the documentation pages on this site.

In speaking to my web hosting service I found that they don't support (something I can't explain) They told me I need to install the program on to my web site on my hard drive and then I need to up-load via fetch to get it on my web site.
How do I do this?
What then is the installation method?
Is there anyone I can call at Gallery even if there is a fee?
