I've just done the changes to 1.4.1 and it works for me. If you should encounter any problems (besides, there are no native australian labs supported  ) let me know.

If you have problems applying the diffs, ask for ready made files.

And remember to change WID and Name of the lab to meet your needs.

Enjoy,

Nick

Ps: for those who already downloaded the file: it contained a little bug:
change the order of the last 2 lines to be changed in view_photo.php
they should read

+ 			break;
+ 			return false;

and NOT the other way round!
.

I noted that there is a general JavaScript error occuring in some browsers using Photokasten print service; it happens too with the fotowire code, as it is partly based on photokasten code. above correction helps using it at least in: Konqueror 3.1.4, Mozilla 1 .4 Opera 7.11 under Linux. Especially IE both under Windo$e and Mac seems to have troubles.

please compare with following post:
http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=9758

If somebody should find a fix, please post it!

it probably would help to know more about your company or the way it is setup to get pictures from servers... As well as the things you already tried to change....

Sorry I need to work on all that first. I was just trying to redirect them to my site using the link thats already provided. I have a large format printing company. I think the way to go would be a shopping cart on the gallery so i'm trying that right now.

thanks

I spoke with FotoWire some time back about Gallery support. Use WID=3000 and see what you get. Here's my mods to 1.4.1, works fine.

Rather than going around collecting other peoples web IDs, please this one. FotoWire are happy for us to use their network, but please use the ID they have allocated for Gallery.

This code also includes a mod to use Chiizu, who support Japan. Hopefully Fuji Australia coming soon!

thanks for you investigations rstocks. Did you get them to pay a little donation to gallery as well;-)

I just tried it out and found, that even australian labs can be chosen, very nice! babywebmaster will be happy!

You can find the updated ONLINE example as usual at http://olp.ch/gallery/gallery/IM000112

I'll have a talk to beckett that this version should be implemented into the current cvs, as it now gives the user a simple and fast possibilty to choose among LOTS (!!!) of labs:))

Working on donations. It kinda mucks up all their processing, as payment is made directly to the lab that does the finishing, not to FotoWire directly.

I sent this code in way back when (1.3.something), and nothing happened. I submitted a diff against the (then) current cvs a few weeks back, which seemed to be promptly ignored. Here I am, trying to contribute ... :-)

any chance you could work out how to implement PayPal into your solution? It seems to work really well. I prefer to send the orders to the lab myself for a couple of reasons 1. it's cheaper 2. it saves my bandwidth! If I could take orders through PayPal then that would be brilliant... cheers :D

Any other Aussies got it going? Do your site visitors like it?

I have just fixed my code so don't worry! But in answer to your question, I have had positive feedback.

Nick, this is brilliant. Any chance you can easily get some codes for here in CANADA? :-)

msears,

If you download the patch that uses the web ID that FotoWire have assigned to Gallery, you'll be able to select labs in Canada.

Mike,

I haven't looked at the 1.4.4 release candidates yet, so I have no idea what has changed since 1.4.3-pl2, which was the last patch I uploaded to the forum (in another thread - look here).

I'll take a look at 1.4.4 when it is officially released.

Cheers,

Rich

Hi Rich

Is OK, I have a look the files and there a lot of changes. I switch now back to 1.4.3 pl2 and It works now great.

A smal problem that I have is that limit with 30 labs see Thread from Archie --> http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=18634&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Do you know that problem, any solution?

thanks a lot

cheers mike

Mike (and all),

Here's the modified files for 1.4.4, all tested and working.

I haven't actually seen that other thread, I'll check it out now.

Cheers,

Rich

Thanx all for your work, but i downloaded rstocks version for 1.4.4 (im using 1.4.4RC1) and I only get one service I can't choose between different ones. Only get fotokasten. Is this normal. Or should I make some changes in the downloaded files from you????? Thanks for your help. PS I'm living in Belgium, Europe so if it is possible to have print labs from over here that would be cool. Thanx all again..

Hello

The last post here seemed a while ago.

I am currently looking for a solution to use g2 with the shopping cart then pass the info to a online printinh house. Seems to be solutions for US but not Australia. I havre spoken to an outfit down here which maybe ibterested in intergrating into G2.

So are there any modules for this already (or has this goone dead). If i am to talk to printing compies down here what is invovled for this intergration

cheers

I also would like to see a feature in G2 that allows users to define their own printing shops! I am not sure, perhaps you have to open a new thread in G2 Customisation forum.
