WordPress 2.6.5 to 2.7 upgrade breaks WPG 3.0.7

So I feel like a bit of an idiot for upgrading WP and only then checking plug-in compatibility, where it's clearly stated that WPG2 is only "compatible up to: 2.6". The upgrade from WordPress 2.6.5 to 2.7 managed to break WPG 3.0.7 (see my blog post on this for details).

This appears to have come up before, although I can't see any references to current versions. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix in the works?

Found another thread that suggested reactivating the "URL Rewrite" plug-in in Gallery. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. In fact, it had nothing to do with my issue. When I finally found the WPG2 link in the new WP interface, it told me that I needed to reactive the "Image Block" plug-in in Gallery. I did that, made sure I set URL Rewrite back to deactivated, and everything is working like a charm.

ich kann Dir leider auch nicht helfen, außer vielleicht moralisch. Du bist nicht der einzige der das Problem hat, mir geht es genauso.

Bei mir bleibt die Installation auch immer beim Step 4 stehen, allerdings immer bei einem anderen Modul.

Und auch Firefox zeigt dann immer nur an, das er "fertig" ist.
