Random tidbits from the Gallery Team

The Gallery team tries to follow anything Gallery related posted on blogs and other sites around the internet. While there is a lot of content out there, below are some particular ones that caught our eye (along with some things that we have noticed or posted on our website). If there is any good stuff around that we have missed, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us! (We're hoping to make this a regular feature!)

The 327th Male posted a nice entry simply called "Gallery Rocks"

Sarit tells us about his experience with setting up Gallery 2.

Justin tells us about his experience migrating to Gallery 2 with a set of screenshots of the installer.

The Lifehacker article about setting up Gallery 2 got a lot of traffic and comments on both digg and the lifehacker site.

And finally, the webmaster over at blog.apollohosting.com posted the following soundbite:

Quote:
Oh, and I simply have to give kudos to folks who developed Gallery for, well, calling it "Gallery." Sometimes you can tell when there were no "marketing guys" in the room. I look forward to the day when Ford comes out with "Car", Procter & Gamble announces "Soap", and Nabisco finally releases "Food."

We couldn't agree more!

Other items worth noting:

While looking at the statistics over at sf.net I realized that we have been constantly in the top 10 since the 14th of October!

Did you know that there are now over 25 integrations available?

We are seeing increased forum traffic on theme development. We really hope thats an indication that there will be some great themes submitted to the theme contest!

If you want to get to know the team a bit better, there are some small team member profiles available!

Also remember that, besides the downloads, we offer Support Forums, Paid Support and #gallery-support, a user-to-user IRC channel on freenode.net

Well i feel as the quality drowned in quantity. But it was to be expected with a increase of population of blogs. I find quality content very difficult to find and I know there is probably a lot of it out there somewhere.
I enjoyed some of the blogs you posted and it only proves my theory.
Did you know that in my country some of the most popular blog writers are getting contacts with some of the book publishers and some are selling more books then some of the well known profesional writers! Really astonishing indeed.
Nice reading

We just wanted to let blog owners know that their postings doesn't go unnoticed. Perhaps that will spur more Gallery related content in the future.
