hello I really like this theme but I am getting an error on an embedded installation on vbdrupal and gallery 2.2
It looks like the theme displays correctly but have this error on top of the album view.
I do not get these errors running gallery directly and not embedded, so it looks like this only a problem with an embedded installation.

warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /gallery2/modules/core/Callbacks.inc on line 69.
warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /gallery2/modules/core/Callbacks.inc on line 69.

and then these errors are added on the photo view.
warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /gallery2/modules/core/Callbacks.inc on line 65.
warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /gallery2/modules/core/Callbacks.inc on line 67.

if someone could help, I would appreciate it. thanks.

Please clarify.
Is it the PGtheme you are using?
in which case someone who knows about embedding and vbdrupal will help you here.
Sorry, but I don;t know about either.

or is it Pedro's new theme X_treme? (If so your question should go to http://gallery.menalto.com/node/61330#new)

Hi Yukti.
This is not a PG theme problem, but a PGLightbox one.
and will be addressed if you ask in http://gallery.menalto.com/node/54063

I think though that I have read somewhere that you need to make albums in the top level and put your items in those albums. (I am not sure if that is for PG Lightbox theme or for X_treme theme).
Might be worth trying anyway

And you could always change back to another theme to move the items into the new Album if need be.

Hey Hi Gaynor

Am glad u replied so soon..Thanks for the same..

Yep I have applied the PGLightbox. I set it according to my needs thru the theme panel. But the moving files am trying to play are putting me off.

The control comes back to the main page .. without playing the flv file chosen.
The same works for my Apache webserver. Also with the same setup for the simple matrix theme..
hope u got my problem .

regards
Yukti.

Thank you for asking it in the other forum.

Please continue your discussion there. The people there know more about it,

in the first message of this thread Pedro states:-
*************************** PG Theme ***************************

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT NOW FOR G2.1

* The theme will not work correctly with non PG colorpacks, since there are missing all the backgrounds and icons images.

--------------
Pedro, this last is simply not accurate.

It would be accurate to say some aspects of the theme do not work with SOME other colorpacks.
All my colorpacks are adaptations of your PGbrown colorpack and consequently do have all the images and icons.

My earlier colorpacks do work with my replacement images.
For some reason I have not yet fathomed, in my newer ones the background images do not work.
But that does not prevent the colorpacks from working, only that one aspect.

Your theme is really great.
I love it.
That is why I modelled my colorpacks on it.

Gaynor.

Hi,
I am running PGtheme 1.1 and G2.1 and my problem is with IE 6 & 7. I would like my menu which links to other pages outside of gallery on the site to be farther left as they are in Firefox and other browsers. However, if I do that in the 2 IE's, then they cover up the gallery border. I have set overflow:hidden for #gsSidebarF, #left_sidebar, #menu to no avail. It appears hasLayout is false for these div's, according to the DOM explorer in IE 7. Can someone explain what is wrong and how I can fix it? Google has giving lots of sites to look at, but they all suggest overflow:hidden which is not working. Help!

Thanks again Pedro for a great theme,
Brian

Hi Brian,

I would try reducing the length of the text below the images and below your signature
Make the words use just the width of the image, and several lines of text if necessary.

I think that will reduce the empty spaces between the images

Is that what your problem was?
If not.... I'll just have to leave it for some of the more knowledgable gurus to help you :)

Hi,

I am using Gallery2 V2.1.2 and Pedro Gilberto’s PG V1.1RC1 theme. Everything was working fine until I upgraded my browser to IE7. The rollover images (previous photo, full image and next photo) on the photos are cut off in half. Has anyone seem this and can give me some direction where I can correct this problem? If your are using IE7, you can see the problem by visiting my web site at www.photosbysoto.com

Thanks,
Mike

Just a guess.... Edit /templates/photoNavOver.tpl find:
<img name="nextOB" src="{$imageURL_base}nextphoto.gif" border="0" alt="{g->text text='next photo'}" title="{g->text text='next photo'}" longdesc="{g->text text='next photo'}" id="nextphotoB" style="visibility:hidden;"/> and give the image a height and width.

Also in the same file:

<div id="prevOB" style="z-index:10; position:absolute; left:{$varposL}px; top: {$navheightbottom}px; width:150px; height:10px;
filter: alpha(opacity=60); -moz-opacity: 0.6; opacity: 0.6;" title="{g->text text='previous photo'}">

the height of 10px seems a bit small to me. Similar code throughout.

Dave

Are you using a image frame?
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Modules:imageframe
or is the frame built in?
If built in:
I have found 2 tools that are invaluable the firefox browser and the web development tool that allows you to Make live edits to the CSS of a web page..
Once you have them both installed....
select edit css and under the 'information' dropdown check display ID & class details.
Edit your CSS and you will see the results. Once you have this the way you want, upload your edited css to the server.

Christian,
You posted a question about adding images on page a thread that is 31 pages long about the PG theme.
If you want to add images don't add them to the g2 data folder.
FTP is most likly the best way if the images are bigger than 2 megs.
Do other methods work?
Start a new thread in the troubleshooting forum, as I suspect your issue is not related to the PG theme.

Dear pgilbert,

I am new and think your work is very good.. I want to adopt your design for my own album... However, can you give me some idea how/where I can change the logo file - the one displayed at top-left corner...

I tried to locate the information from this thread.. but seems not the case, can you advise me again?

It can be daunting to look through this thread but this question has actually been answered several times within this very long thread for instance girl138's post on page 14. You can also try the search feature when looking for stuff. For this one, the terms "pg" & "logo" did the trick for me.

Hi there!

Great theme, but...
Because I’m using G2/PGtheme integrated with Joomla, there is no sidebar. Is there a possibility to make the option 'send E-card' as a symbol available (like i.e. slideshow)?

Hallo, i searched into the onther posts and i could not find any request similar to mine, hope i searched well 8-)

Anyway, i'm using Gallery 2.1+PGTheme 1.1.0, embedded into Joomla 1.0.11 with Gallery 2 Bridge 2.0.14 (by 4theweb);

I cannot manage my registered users to see "show exif data" and "add comment" and "show comments" buttons in album view, do you know haw can this be done? Probably this involves permissions, right? thank you!

After many months of research I came across your X Treme, from the PG Theme. I shoot with a Nikon D2x set at RAW for image capture, currently my catalog consist of 8,000+ photographs, half JPEG the other half .NEF.

• I need to post them onto the WEB and believe to have selected Gallery 2 for my platform, is this the best platform available?
• Is there a .NEF converter to upload photographs thru Galery?
• Your theme is very extensive, is there any documentation to explain all the options?

Thank You again

Ernie,
@ picking G2 as a platform: YES. But I suspect you will get a biased opinion here in the Gallery forums. :-)

@.nef: Yes, toolkits will convert your .nef files to jpg for web viewing. But some versions of the toolkits have issues:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1338418&group_id=7130&atid=107130
So you are best to convert them before you upload them to Gallery or add a custom thumbnail for each item you add.

@ Docs: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/33603 http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Themes:x_treme

Additional questions not related to the PG theme; you should start a new thread as this is over 30 pages already.

I've used your theme on a website for a photographer friend of mine with great results. Nevertheless, I have encountered a small bug in the album page navigation when the album has. When clicking on one of the page number links, it takes me to the main gallery page instead of the corresponding album page. The next/previous icon links work fine. I'm using Gallery core 1.2.0.1 and xTreme 1.0.1. Do I need to upgrade?

Try asking in the xTreme thread. This thread is about PGTheme which while developed by the same person, is actually a totally different theme. I suppose the confusion is down to the big reference to xTreme on the first post which should probably be removed.

Hi,

I am using the PGTheme and I have added an album that contains over 140 photos. I have the theme displaying only 52 micro thumbnails on the photo page. The navigation arrows below the thumbnails will only bring the viewer to the first or last page. Nothing in between. The only way you can see the photo between the first and last page is by clicking on the last micro thumbnail on each photo page. Is there any way to add Page 1, 2, 3 …etc below the micro thumbnail on the photo page? Is there any code that I can add to one of the templates?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Okay, so for the life of me I can't seem to get the colorpack working.
I got the files in the proper directory and all, but that doesn't do anything.

Can someone help me out in layman's terms?

The micro thumb feature in PGTheme has a bug resulting in what you described. Unfortunately, the Theme is no longer under active development and there has been no solution to this bug. If you cannot work around it, I am afraid you have to use a different theme.

Do you know of another theme that has code that can be used in the PGtheme? Maybe by copying and pasting some working code into the appropriate PG template.

I never thought of that. It should be possible in theory. Perhaps the X_Treme theme which is PGTheme2 in effect will be a good candidate. PG_Lightbox is also directly derived from PGTheme while Carbon is a second cousin twice removed.

I am thinking of implementing some minor fixes to PGTheme and releasing it as an update. Have to talk to Pedro first though and schedule some time.

Copy the attached Navigatorthumbs file into your PGTheme/templates/directory.

It contains the following bug fix for this issue.

1) Adds "next" and "previous" navigation to the microthumbs in addition to "first" and "last"
2) Removes "first" and "last" icons and uses links instead. Icons will be added later
3) Creates a space for the text defined in Theme Admin to with this navigation

Take the usual precautions.

Hi, I've just re-installed the latest PGTheme Theme after not using it for more than a year. I notice that a number of the text graphic images are 'jumpy' when I try to click on them. For instance, on the album page the links 'Add Item to Cart Add a Comment Show Photo Exif' that are visible below each thumbnail -- whenever I try to click on any of those links they kind of jump away from me, oscillating between showing the text and revealing their underlying graphic buttons. Something's just not stable and I don't know what it is.

Any ideas for this? Thanks.

When you say latest version of PGTheme, do you mean the one linked to here: Please refer your issues here: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/66930?

If so, please refer you query to that thread. If not, please use the version on that thread and put future request for help on that post as this has become too long and unwieldy.

Please state the version number etc when asking for assistance in future as a statement like latest version of xyz can mean several things.

Hi.

I am sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I was not ble to find a solution.

I am using Gallery 2.2.2 and PgTheme 1.1.0.

The issue is that the photo pages does not validate because two parameters are missing a space between them and the closing > is on the next line. This occurs several places in the image frame code.

I have searched long and hard, but I can not find where this code is generated, so I ask for your help. Some of the code in the following table is from iFrameRender.tpl, but I can't locate the error.

This is an example from the source:

<table class="ImageFrame_shadow" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td class="LLT"></td><td rowspan="2" colspan="2" class="IMG">
<div class="gsSingleImageNoF" style="width:351 height:530">
<img src="/gallery2/d/339-9/KS_LOF_0005+-+Version+2.jpg" width="351" height="530" class="ImageFrame_image" id="IFid1" longdesc="IFid1" usemap="#fotomap" alt="KS_LOF_0005 - Version 2"/>
<map id="fotomap" name="fotomap">
<area shape="rect" coords="0,0,351,530" alt=""/>
</map>
</div>
</td>
<td class="RRT"></td></tr>
<tr>
<td class="LL"style="height:522px"
><div class="V">&nbsp;</div></td>

<td class="RR"style="height:522px"
><div class="V">&nbsp;</div></td>

</tr>
<tr>
<td class="BL"></td>
<td class="BBL"></td><td class="BB"style="width:344px"
><div class="H"></div></td>
<td class="BR"></td>
</tr>
</table>

As you see, the <td class="LL"style="height:522px"
is missing a space before the style parameter and the closing > is on the next line.

This trips up the validator.

Any suggestions to where this should be fixed?

I am considering upgrading, does anyone know if this issue has been adressed?

Cheers,

Andreas

Hi. If anyone could advise me, I'd appreciate it. I've installed the PG theme no problem. What I would like though,
is not to have the second page. E.g. you click on the gallery and you get a page with all the thumbnail,
then if you click on that, it opens to a page with that picture large and the rest as thumbnails.
I'd like to go from the gallery directly to the page with the big picture and thumbnails. Is that possible?

The album thumbnail to the right on my frontpage www.anothermasterpiece.com
I would like to center it in the frame, not as it is now, to the left.

How can I do that ?

Hello again.

I just found how to adjst the page width. see belowfrom zen cart forum
How can you set the wrapper function so it is differmet for differnet screens?

You have to make a copy of it from \zen\includes\templates\template_default\css and put the copy in your custom theme folder \zen\includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE\css, creating all the folders too if you haven't already. Then you can change the custom stylesheet and your original one will stay original and you will have a clean copy to study and fall back on if you get stuck changing the custom one.
Then change the width in the #mainWrapper of your new stylesheet and upload it to your new custom directory.

cheers
