Thanks. Looks like it does indeed work as I would expect. I
noticed that you did create, at on one item, a link in the
summary. I'm glad to see that this works. Regarding the thumbnail
scrollbar... Did you change the number of rows to 9 (or was it
a leftover from your prvious installation of the theme)? In a
'new' installation of the theme I set the default to be 50. You
might have a look ath this setting and make it a large number.

I must have changed it in the past, when you saw it rows and columns were both set to three, giving a total page size of nine. I changed columns to 50 and now it works as you would expect. I got a bbcode link working on the first item, thanks for the headsup on that.

Ill try the directions thing tomorrow.

Regards, Dave.

I set the rows to one and the columns to 50. In FF the
thumbnails scroll nicely in a single row; however, in IE I could
not get it to work the same, so it will fill left to right as
many thumbnails that will fit and then you must scroll (via
scrollbar) those up and down. If you did not look, the navigation
thumbnails can be placed top, bottom, left or right also.
I kinda got carried away fixing the apostrophe thing. :-)

Termite,
No doubt You intend, at some time, to provide for selecting a marker
to signify a group. :-) With that thought I created a set of markers
for this purpose (markerG). These are only a possible suggestion and
the G was used because . . . it's a Group. :-) Any interest?
See pic.

Yes you are correct on that :-) At this point group are using the same marker set s the picture but it will change :)

Currently we have the enclosed markers (1,3 & 11) that "can" be used for groups but your icon is also a good idea. Can you try to have a color close to the pinkish required by imageMagick to create the other colors ?

I will add that to 0.4.9 that I'm going to be able to release somewhat soon :)

Greetings everyone,

To my mind there seems to be a problem with the way that the export to google earth feature is implemented.

It is possible for any user to use the feature but unless they have the original GPS tracklog then it will fail to generate any usable output.
Even worse it will wipe the existing location fields from each picture processed by the command.
The command can even be run without any tracklog file specified, I have also noticed problems when using the wrong file where it fills the location fields with very innacurate information.

A better way would be to seperate the admin and user funtions so that a user command would use the existing location information just to generate a kml file for google earth and to have an admin funtion to set the location fields and to ping geourl if needed.

I have an additional problem when using export with firefox, it promps me to save the file (as mainx.php) rather than open main.kml as occurs when executed from internet explorer. I expect this is a mime type problem somewhere.

hth Dave

I'd agree with that. Anyone up for some coding or should I put that on my list ? :):):)

I guess that would also be a TODO :)

Thanks a lot for your testing. you will also have quite a bit more when I'm done with the cleaning :)

Which marker (that is in the images/markers directory) should/can
I use to sample the necessary color? I could open that marker
with GIMP, sample the color and use it to fill a marker. I
take it that only one "pinkish" marker is/will be required to
offer multiple colors and those additional colors are rendered
on the fly?
When I made the set I used color sampling from each of the
markers in the 'bigdots' directory and made corresponding
group (G) markers.
Let me know and I'll get it/them together for 4.9.

Yes you only need the pinkish color, the rest can be created with the module itself, I enclosed a marker so you can sample the color.

Thanks a lot

TO ALL, FROM TODAY

We will now use the sourceforge Project to prevent this thread from getting too big (it's already huge !)

The Page is here gmap-module
The Admins for the project are Galmoid and myself (let us know if something isn't quite right)
Currently there is 4 developpers
The WIKI will remain the principal source for documentation

We will use the Sourceforge Site for:
- Support
- Bug posting
- Feature requests
- New releases download

Please discontinue to use this thread from that point forward, if you wish to say anything, there is ALSO a forum in the sourceforge project page

ADMIN: PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD :)

Thanks !
